Pin the client first
Iris answers using the data of whichever client is pinned in the client picker in the top bar. Before you start a new conversation:
Open Chat from the top navigation.
Click the client picker in the top bar and choose your client.
Type your question in the message box and press Enter.
Iris will stream its answer in, with a live status underneath showing what it's doing — which data it's pulling, what it's checking — until the response is complete.
Note: The client picker is global: it sets the client for the whole workspace, so Chat and Workflow always agree on which client you're looking at.
Ask, then follow up
A chat keeps its full context, so treat it like a running conversation rather than a search box:
Start broad: "How did paid social perform in June?"
Then narrow: "Which campaigns drove that CPA increase?"
Then act: "Chart the weekly trend" or "Summarize this for the client."
You never need to repeat the client name, timeframe, or metric once it's established — Iris remembers what you've discussed in that chat.
Returning to an older chat
Your chat history spans every client you work on, and each conversation is labeled with its client so you can tell them apart at a glance.
When you open an older chat, Omega automatically re-pins the client picker to that chat's client. That means you can pick up any conversation and trust that Iris is looking at the right account — no need to check the picker first.
Tip: If you deliberately switch the picker to a different client while a chat is open, Omega respects your choice and won't snap it back.
Starting from a Workflow signal
You don't always have to start from a blank page. When you're looking at a signal on the Workflow board, use its Dig deeper option to jump straight into a chat that's pre-loaded with that signal's context — the right client is pinned and Iris already knows what you're investigating, so you can go straight to asking "why" and "what next."
