What it's for

Once a week, the Account Director or Group Director who owns a client records how that client is actually doing: how happy they are, whether we're pacing to their goals, and the contract dates that determine when revenue is at risk. Once a quarter, they log the Quarterly Business Plan.

This used to live in a shared spreadsheet — impossible to audit, easy to overwrite, and disconnected from revenue data. Now it's a proper record: one submission per client per week, with the submitter recorded, and corrections handled by voiding rather than deleting.

What you type here becomes what leadership sees. It flows into Pulse Summary, the client detail panels, and the churn model's sentiment component. It's not paperwork — it's the earliest warning signal the company has.

What you'll see

  • An Account Director picker, defaulting to you, and a Group Director picker.

  • A progress bar — "X of Y submitted" for the current week.

  • One expandable card per client, with a Submitted or Missing pill, who submitted it, and when the last one was.

  • A week picker — the current week plus the three before it, and any older week that already has a submission.

  • A submission history timeline per client, including voided entries shown struck through.

  • A search box that also finds eligible clients outside your own book, marked "Not in scope".

The quarterly QBP form

The QBP date, a narrative link and a presentation link — all three required. The date can be up to a year in the future, so scheduling a QBP ahead is fine.

How to use it

  1. The Monday run. Open the page — you're already selected. Filter to Missing to see what's left. Expand each card: the form pre-fills from your last submission, so you only change what actually changed. Save.

  2. Log a contract exposure. When renewal terms change, update the term type, rollover dates and early-out dates. These are what tell leadership and Finance when revenue is contractually at risk — nothing else in Signal knows them.

  3. Log a QBP. Expand the client, open the QBP form, enter the date and paste both links.

  4. The Group Director sweep. Pick yourself in the Group Director dropdown, choose "All ADs", and chase the Missing pills. You can also submit directly on any client in your group.

  5. Fix a mistake. Expand the wrong submission, click Void this submission, confirm. The pill flips back to Missing, the voided entry stays in the timeline for the record, and you re-submit correctly. Only you (or a top-level admin) see the void link on your own submissions.

  6. Keep pulsing an inherited client. A client you've submitted for before but no longer formally own still appears, marked "No longer assigned", so you're not blocked waiting for a reassignment.

Good to know

  • Viewing and saving are different permissions. Any Team Lead can browse anyone's book. Saving is checked per client: you must be that client's Account Director, Senior AD, or Group Director. Anyone else gets a clear refusal explaining why.

  • A client can show two cards — one per division — when they're a multi-division client. Each division submits and tracks independently. One being submitted doesn't cover the other.

  • The "Submitted" pill doesn't mean the assigned AD submitted it. It shows whoever did. A Group Director's submission satisfies the week the same way.

  • The client list is calculated, not fixed. A client disappears once their churn date passes, even if residual revenue is still flowing. To appear at all, a client needs current-month gross profit, VABO, or contract time remaining. So the list legitimately changes week to week.

  • Voiding doesn't delete. The record stays for audit and stays in the timeline. Re-submitting on a voided week cleanly revives it.

  • No reason is captured when you void. Who and when are recorded; why is not.

  • Drafts aren't saved. Unsaved edits survive collapsing and re-expanding a card, but navigating away discards them. Nothing is saved until you press Save.

  • The week picker is intentionally shallow — the current week plus three. Older weeks only appear once they contain data.

  • The admin "Compliance Dashboard" link goes to Employee Pulse, which is about employees, not clients. That's confusing and worth knowing before you click it.

Common questions

Who submits, and how often? The client's Account Director — or their Senior AD or Group Director — once per client per week, on Monday-anchored weeks. Plus one QBP record per client per quarter.

Why is Save greyed out? Four possible reasons: nothing has actually changed; Term Type isn't selected (it's required); a link doesn't start with http:// or https://; or rollover length isn't a whole number of at least 1. On the QBP form, all three fields are required.

I got "you are not the assigned AD or GD" — but it is my client. Submission rights are checked against the current assignments. If yours just changed, the check can lag a few minutes. If it persists, fix the assignment on Manage Leads or ask the Signal team.

A client I manage isn't in my list. Either they're not eligible (churn date passed, or no current gross profit, VABO or remaining contract time), or they're assigned to someone else. Use the search box — it finds eligible clients outside your scope — or check the "Previously submitted" section.

I submitted on the wrong client or week. Expand it, click Void this submission, confirm, then submit correctly. The voided record stays in the history but stops counting.

The form came pre-filled — did I already submit? Read the banner. "Submitted for week by person" means yes, and your edits will overwrite it. "Pre-filled from prior week" means no — it's seeded from your last submission and nothing is saved yet. "First submission for this client" means there's no history at all.

Can I log a QBP that hasn't happened yet? Yes, up to a year ahead. The links are still required.

Why does one client show two cards? It's a multi-division client. Each division is tracked separately.

Who sees what I type? Leadership on Pulse Summary, anyone who opens the client's history timeline here, the client's detail panel, and your own My Submissions. It also feeds company reporting.

What does "missed performance goals" mean exactly? The form defines it as having missed performance goals two months in a row. Beyond that, who adjudicates it is a team process question rather than something Signal enforces.

Is this the same as Employee Pulse? No. This is about clients. Employee Pulse is about employees and is submitted in Nova. See the Glossary.
