Monthly Client Reports

When a client's month closes, Omega builds their monthly report as a slide deck — and it rides the same review pipeline as the weekly report.

What it is

The monthly report is the month-end companion to the weekly client report: a full slide deck covering the client's last complete month — performance by channel, trends against prior periods, and recommendations. It's built on a dedicated monthly deck template set, so every month-end deck arrives with a consistent, recognizable structure, with real charts and data tables on the slides (see "Slide decks and styles").

When it runs

You don't kick it off. Once a client's month closes, Omega builds the deck automatically in the first days of the new month.

"Month" means the client's month. If the client has a fiscal calendar configured (Settings → Client settings), the report covers their last complete fiscal month and arrives right after that month closes — even when that lands mid-calendar-month. Month-over-month and year-over-year comparisons line up with fiscal periods too. Clients without a fiscal calendar get the prior calendar month.

Which clients get one

Monthly reports are opt-in per client, controlled from the same place as the weekly: the Scheduled reports card in Settings → Client settings, with its own switch. Untouched switches use a sensible default — clients with a Slack channel configured in Omega default on, everyone else defaults off — and flipping the switch pins your choice.

Review and delivery

The finished deck lands in the Review column of the Workflow board, exactly like the weekly report, and the team gets a "Monthly report ready for review" ping in Slack.

  1. Open the card and read the deck — the output chip opens the full deliverable.

  2. Check the essentials: right period, right numbers, a narrative that matches the month the client actually had.

  3. Approve to release it, or Reject with notes to have it redone.

Delivery follows the weekly report's rules: clients with a stored Slack channel get the client-facing summary delivered automatically when the report is ready, everyone else's waits for approval, and anything the quality check flags holds for a human first. Approving also publishes the deck to your Google Drive, so Open in Drive on the card takes you straight to it in Slides.

Tip: Month-end decks reward a slightly deeper review than weeklies — they travel further inside the client's organization. Give the charts a minute each: is the story each one tells the story you'd tell?

Note: If a client's monthly deck doesn't appear, check the Scheduled reports card first — the monthly switch is separate from the weekly one, so a client can be opted into one and not the other.
