Creative Affinity: AI Creative Insights, Get Expert Creative Analysis in Seconds

AI Creative Insights is a new feature inside nova Creative Affinity Playbooks that uses artificial intelligence to see your ad creative. Analyze and tags the content of ads and then shows you which of those elements are correlated with performance metrics

What is AI Creative Insights?

AI Creative Insights bridges the gap between what your ads look like and how they actually perform. It provides two new levels of analysis within Creative Affinity:

  1. Ad-Level Analysis: On any individual ad, you can now see a detailed AI-powered breakdown. This includes an "AI Summary" of the ad's content, a list of "Content Tags" (e.g., "product close-up," "user-generated content," "outdoor setting"), and a feedback loop to help improve the AI's accuracy.

  1. Client-Level Insights: In a new "Insights" tab, Vision AI surfaces the most impactful content tags across your entire account. It shows you which tags are most strongly correlated with key metrics like LTV, ROAS, or CPA, helping you discover creative trends that are working.

How to Use AI Ad Insights?

You can access AI Ad Insights two main features in different parts of Creative Affinity. Currently is only available for the following time periods: Last 7 days, Last 14 days, Last 30 days and Last 90 days.

1. To Analyze a Single Ad:

  1. Navigate to the Creative Affinity tool.

  2. Click on any ad from your list to open the detailed "Ad Modal" view.

  3. Inside the modal, look for the new "Image Analysis" section.

  4. Here, you can review:

    • AI Summary: A plain-English summary of what the AI understands about the ad.

    • Content Tags: A list of all tags identified within the creative.

    • Feedback Loop: If you see a tag or summary that isn't quite right, use the feedback buttons (e.g., thumbs up/down) to help us improve its accuracy.

2. To Find Client-Level Insights:

  1. Choose a preset time period (e.g., Last 30 Days, Last 90 Days).

    • Note: This insights feature currently only supports preset time periods. Custom date ranges are not available for this view at this time.

  2. From the Creative Playbooks tab, navigate to the new "AI Creative Insights" section.

  3. Select the platform and funnel stage you want to see insights for.

    1. By default we show a full funnel aggregated view of the insights.

  4. See the metric you want to analyze (e.g., ROAS, CPA).

  5. Review your "Most Impactful Tags." This list shows you which content elements had the strongest correlation with the metric you selected.

  6. Audit the Insight: Click the "See Ads" (or similar) button next to any tag to see a list of the top 5 ads that were used to generate that specific insight.


How to Interpret the Insights

AI Creative insights show you correlation, not causation. This is a critical distinction for making smart creative decisions.

  • What is Correlation? It's a pattern. It means two things happened at the same time. For example, you might see an insight like: "Ads tagged with 'User-Generated Content' had a 25% higher LTV."

  • What it is NOT: This does not guarantee that simply using UGC will cause your LTV to increase by 25%.

Think of these insights as a powerful starting point for testing.

Right Way: "Our top-performing ads are correlated with 'UGC.' For our next campaign, let's A/B test two new 'UGC' ads against our 'Studio' ads to see if we can replicate this success."

Wrong Way: "The AI said 'UGC' is the best. Let's change all our ads to 'UGC' immediately."

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do I need to set up any new integrations to use AI Creative Insights?
No. It works using your existing Creative Affinity setup. It relies on your connected Ad Platforms (like Meta/TikTok), Google Analytics (GA4), and E-commerce platform (like Shopify).

Why can't I see insights for a custom date range?
Currently, the client-level "Insights" feature is optimized for preset time periods (e.g., Last 30 Days, Last 90 Days). We are working to expand this capability in the future.

Why isn't my YouTube ad being analyzed?
For Vision AI to process a YouTube ad, the video's privacy setting must be "Public" or "Unlisted." The AI cannot analyze "Private" videos.

What if the AI summary or tags for an ad are wrong?
Please use the feedback loop (the "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" icons) in the ad modal! This is the best way to report inaccuracies and helps the AI model learn and improve for everyone.

Does Vision AI analyze all of my ads?
Yes, Vision AI attempts to process and analyze all creative assets (images and videos) that are pulled into your Creative Affinity account.
